Claudia Triozzi is a dancer and choregrapher. Interested by the french choregraphic activities, she came in France in 1985. She recently worked in collaboration with Xavier Leroy and Alain Buffard.
"Over the last few years she has been working on solo performances featuring a woman character seen in action in a complex and poetic assemblage of diverse objects. Beneath its wild imaginative flights, each piece presents a tragicomedy of the body, in which sociological observation runs parallel to the political history of the body." She shows her work as well on stage as in museums and galleries with videos and installations (Biennale d’Art Contemporain de Lyon, 2001 ; Museum Kunst Palast, Dusseldorf, 2001 ; Studio National des Arts Contemporains, Le Fresnoy, Tourcoing - France, 2002).
For her new creation THE FAMILY TREE, Claudia Triozzi writes the texts of her songs, and contribute to the music with Xavier Boussiron.
"My project at the gallery is not to show neither to exhibit oneself, rather to catch elements that I consider as an extension of my work."
Claudia Triozzi est danseuse et chorégraphe. Attirée par la scène chorégraphique française, elle a quitté l'Italie en 1985. Elle a récemment collaboré avec Xavier Leroy et Alain Buffard.
Claudia Triozzi développe depuis plusieurs années un travail en solo, dans des dispositifs qui se présentent chaque fois comme un assemblage complexe et poétique d'objets hétéroclites. Sous couvert d'un imaginaire délirant, ses créations deviennent le lieu d'une tragi-comédie où se côtoient chronique sociologique et histoire politique du corps.
Son travail se développe aussi bien sur scène qu'au travers de vidéos ou d'installations, qu'elle montre dans des musées ou des galeries (Biennale d’Art Contemporain de Lyon, 2001 ; Museum Kunst Palast, Dusseldorf, 2001 ; Studio National des Arts Contemporains, Le Fresnoy, Tourcoing, 2002).
Pour sa dernière création THE FAMILY TREE, Claudia Triozzi a écrit les textes de ses chansons et s'est associée à Xavier Boussiron pour la musique.
"Dans mon projet à la galerie, il n'est pas question d'exposer ou de s'exposer mais de capter des éléments désordonnés comme prolongation d'un état de travail, où nous nous tenons avec notre propre bordel d'insuffisance."

After Brest last February, Claudia Triozzi and Xavier Boussiron will present
THE FAMILY TREE in the program of the Rencontres Chorégraphiques Internationales de Seine Saint-Denis Thurs. June 6th and Sat. June 8th. (infoline : 01 55 82 08 01).
For her exhibition, Claudia Triozzi is workin in collaboration with Caty Olive (lights) and Olivier Charlot (photos).
Après Brest en février 2002, Claudia Triozzi et Xavier Boussiron présenteront en création à Bobigny
THE FAMILY TREE dans le cadre des Rencontres Chorégraphiques Internationales de Seine Saint-Denis le jeudi 6 juin et le samedi 8 juin (renseignements : 01 55 82 08 01).

Pour son exposition, Claudia Triozzi travaillera en collaboration avec Caty Olive (lumières) et Olivier Charlot (photos). Une performance sera donnée le jour du vernissage (mardi 18 juin) à 20H.
